Creating musicians who are empowered by creativity and technical freedom
Allyson Cohen’s teaching philosophy centers on marrying technical precision with artistic expression. She believes that a strong technical foundation should serve—not stifle—creativity, and empowers her students to develop their own musical voice through exploration, curiosity, and disciplined practice. Her approach fosters both confidence and independence, helping each student become a thoughtful, expressive, and self-directed musician.
